Deciding to have a good day

This is deceptively simple but in my experience, can have a profound effect. The simple act of setting an intention to have a good day can change your outlook as you seek for evidence to support your ‘good day’ you will find things to enjoy and appreciate thus causing nice feelings and helping you to have your good day!

I was on the radio yesterday, on Newstalk talking about this project and the presenter asked me if it was possible to spend 365 days in the pursuit of joy and I found that to be such an interesting question. I responded by saying what is the point of life if not to enjoy it? Should we all not be seeking to make our lives more joyful every day?

A listener texted in and said that seeking joy would take too much time. My practices can take 5 minutes or can expand to fill as much time as you can give them. Is 5 minutes too long to spend out of 24hours? What are people devoting their time to the pursuit of if not joy? I found the questions and text responses of listeners to be fascinating!

I’d love to live in a society that prioritised joy. I think we can make that happen. All it takes is 5 minutes of purposeful intention, 5 minutes of action and dreaming and thought and presence. Can you gift yourself 5 minutes today to the pursuit of joy?

As always, thank you to everyone who is joining in, you are so loved and appreciated.
